This is the first blog post on the new site. What do you think? What do you want to learn about? Topics I plan on writing about are: basic pistol safety, training, competitive sports, concealed carry holsters, favorite gear for the range, etc.

Hi there!
I’m a beginner, interested in both handgun and shotgun shooting. Handguns for personal safety and shotguns for skeet shooting (something I haven’t tried yet but want to later this year.) I am going to sign up for your LTC and basic shooting courses early this year. My question is what handguns do you recommend for women? I have smaller hands and am looking at the Glock 17 & 19. Any advice? Or suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Heather, I apologize but your message got mixed in with a bunch of spam. I recommend women try a number of guns then go with the one they feel and shoot the best with. I started on a Glock because it was my husbands gun. It wasn’t right for me and still isn’t but you should try a few, get a journal, make notes, and soon a cycle will start to form. Some people are Glock people. One gun that many of the ladies of A Girl and A Gun like is the Smith and Wesson M&P. If you ever come to any of our events, I will let you try one. Just let me know when you are coming out. BTW, Please email any responses to my email address via the “Contact Me” page. Or find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/P3Defense/.
